Secrets, Plot Wrinkles, and
June 2010
- My agent has submitted THE SURROGATE to Steeple Hill's inspirational suspense
line and to Center Street, an imprint of Hatchett Books. She said the editor she spoke
with at Center Street sounded excited about receiving the manuscript. My agent also
wants revisions on THE CHAMELEON EFFECT so she can submit that to Center
Street as well. Since Ted Dekker is one of Center Street's authors, I'm thrilled!
March 2010
- I received the call that I double-finaled in Romance Writers of America's 2010
Golden Heart contest with WANTED:DEAD and CAUGHT BENEATH THE
MISTLETOE. See list of finalists here.
November 2009
- It's National Novel Writing Month, when writers
scratch, claw and cry their way to 50,000 words in
a single month. Will I make it? I'll let you know
when I arrive!
October 2009
- HIS BY DESIGN won the contemporary category of the Molly contest, and THE
AGENDA was a runner up in the romantic suspense category.
September 2009
- September 21st launch of the 2009 Golden Heart finalists' blog. Come check us out:
Ruby-Slippered Sisterhood. There'll be some fabulous giveaways.
August 2009
- Both THE AGENDA and HIS BY DESIGN are going on to the final round of the
2009 Molly contest! THE AGENDA will be judged by an agent, and HIS BY
DESIGN will be judged by an editor.
July 2009
- THE AGENDA is a romantic suspense semi-finalist in the 2009 Molly Contest and
will go on to the second round. HIS BY DESIGN is also a semi-finalist in the
contemporary category.
- Romance Writers of America's national convention was great as usual. The
Ruby-slippered Sisterhood (aka Golden Heart finalists) was well represented. The
winners were both eloquent and beautiful and one of them received a publishing
contract that week! I picked up my beautiful engraved cake knife at the Reader's
Choice reception for winning the Finally a Bride contest. I plan to use it to cut my
celebratory cake on the day I receive The Call! For a few photos of the convention
June 2009
- HIS BY DESIGN wins the Windy City RWA's Four Seasons contest (in the
short/long contemporary division). See list of winners here. Cori Deyoe of Three
Seas Literary Agency requests a proposal.
- Just a few short weeks until the RWA national convention! So much to do, so little
time. Looking forward to meeting my fellow Golden Heart finalists.
May 2009
- THE SURROGATE finals in the Daphne du Maurier contest. Winners will be
announced in July at the Death by Chocolate reception at RWA National Convention.
